Steve Meister is a veteran criminal trial lawyer with 18 years of experience trying serious state and federal felony cases, including homicides, sexual assaults, sex offender registration, arson, conspiracy, gang cases, robberies, firearms offenses, narcotics, Internet crimes, immigration crimes, fraud and copyright infringement. Mr. Meister's clients have included high-profile political officials in corruption investigations, professional and college athletes, and entertainment figures. A former Los Angeles County Deputy District Attorney, Steve Meister is also an expert DUI and DMV lawyer, winning many cases before the California Department of Motor Vehicles and saving clients' driver's licenses from revocation or suspension. Mr. Meister is a legal analyst for Los Angeles television and radio news stations, and is frequently quoted by national publications for his views on criminal cases. Mr. Meister graduated with honors from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and was Managing Editor of the Loyola of Los Angeles Law Review.
